Hi every one, I know it’s been a long time since I last posted, sorry about that. Things got a little crazy this fall and then there never seamed to be a good time to write. anyway I hope you all had a great Christmas and new year, we sure did. We left Hayward just before Christmas and headed for Ohio to my older brothers place. The whole family as there including my brother home from Iraq for a 10 day R&R. From there we went to Pennsylvania to get reacquainted with relatives and to visit some other shed manufacturers and dealers.
On wednesday January 7th we will be displaying our new potting shed/green house at the Minnesota Green EXPO at the convention center in Minneapolis MN. We are currently looking for dealers who would like our product as an add on business or to simply start there own business. If your interested or if you just want to see what the new potting shed looks like, you can stop by, we are in booth# 1808 and 1810.
See you there
Supplying power to cabins in remote locations has bin a problem for a long time. the cost of getting the power company to run electric can be staggering, and the thought of hearing a generator run all the time, look very unattractive. just this year several of you have purchase cabins from us and placed them at sites with no electric to them.
I don’t know what the complete answer to the problem is but I have studied into the possibilitys of solar power, and I am pleased to announce that we will be offering solar packages for our cabins from now on. Although solar started out as a very expensive option it has since become a lot more reasonable particularly for the smaller cabins like ours. As technology advances the solar panels have become less expensive to build and factories have produced systems that are easy to install, greatly decreasing labor cost. the key is to plan your cabin for solar power for example, a small or gas powered refrigerator, small microwave, gas stove, and energy efficient light bulbs. all these things will decrease the amount of electric your solar system needs to produce and there by decrease the size of system you need. the important thing to remember is that most things are possible if we think through them and plan ahead. if you want more information on our products you can find us at www.northwoodoutdoor.com
this week we have a big sale on Friday and Saturday, every thing on our sales lot in Hayward is going to be anywhere from 10% to 50% off of regular price, so if you want a good deal on outdoor products be sure to stop by.
The cranberry festival is this Saturday in Stone Lake. this one day festival attracts over 30,000 people and the most unique vendors in the area, it also features a parade, and lots of food and fun for everyone. In the morning you can stop by the stone lake Fire hall and get breakfast at one of the best pancake feeds in the county, then continue on to Stone Lake for a fun filled day.
